I started as a Big 4 CPA before becoming a corporate attorney. I loved the work, but knew I could do more, so with my husband’s support, I launched my own firm.

At first, it was everything I wanted, until the 2007 to 2008 recession hit. My practice dropped from 20 loans a week to just 2 a month.

In that stillness, I realized what truly mattered: helping people. Through pro bono work preparing wills for the terminally ill, I found my purpose.

Around that same time, my grandmother suffered a stroke. She was independent, highly educated, and had built a substantial estate, but had no plan in place. What followed was heartbreaking.

My father and his brothers became her caregivers for five years, draining themselves physically, emotionally, and financially. Her assets were wiped out, and after she passed, it took three years to settle what remained. I promised myself I would never put my family through that. And yet, I almost did.

At 35, I was rushed into emergency surgery with no plan in place. As a mother and caregiver, I had left my family completely exposed.

That moment changed everything.

I became my own client, created a complete plan, then helped my family do the same. From there, I began educating others so their loved ones would never be left guessing.

That is why I do this work.
